Temperature Blanket Planner

Set your own temperature-to-color legend, log daily temperatures, and watch a live preview of your blanket grow row by row.

Set a color for each temperature range. Leave the first "from" or last "to" box blank for an open-ended range.
Log a day

Your blanket, row by row

Each stripe is one day, in order. Tap any stripe to edit or remove it.

Plan your legend before you buy yarn. Log a week or two first to see roughly how many days fall in each range, then estimate skeins per color from that spread instead of guessing.

About this temperature blanket planner

A temperature blanket assigns one color to each day, based on that day's temperature falling into a range you define — the finished piece becomes a visual record of a year (or any stretch of time) in your local weather. Start from a Fahrenheit or Celsius preset legend, or build your own ranges and pick a color for each one. Leave the lowest range's minimum or the highest range's maximum blank for an open-ended "and below" / "and above" band.

Log each day's high, low, or average temperature (your choice of tracking type), and it's added as the next stripe in a live preview of the growing blanket, in order. Tap any stripe afterward to correct the temperature or remove that day entirely, so a typo or a missed day doesn't mean starting over.

A running legend key shows how many days have landed in each color range so far, useful for estimating how many skeins of each color you'll actually need partway through the project rather than guessing up front from a generic estimate. Stats at the top track your warmest and coolest logged days too, a nice at-a-glance record of the stretch of weather your blanket is capturing.

When you're ready to share progress, download a preview image of the full blanket as it stands — a simple grid of colored stripes with a day count, ready to post or send without needing a screenshot of the tool itself.

Your legend and daily log are saved automatically on this device; nothing is uploaded anywhere, and you can keep logging for as long as your project runs, whether that's a season or a full year.

Frequently asked questions

What's a temperature blanket?

A crochet or knit blanket where each row or stripe's color is chosen based on that day's temperature, turning a year of weather into a visual record. You define the temperature ranges and pick a color for each.

Can I use my own custom color ranges?

Yes. Start from a Fahrenheit or Celsius preset and edit it, or build your ranges from scratch. Leave the top or bottom range open-ended by leaving its min or max blank.

What if I logged a day's temperature wrong?

Tap that day's stripe in the preview to open an edit panel, where you can correct the temperature or remove the day entirely.

Should I track daily high, low, or average?

Whichever you prefer to represent each day — it's a style choice. Just stay consistent across the whole project so the finished blanket reads as one coherent record.

Is my log saved or uploaded anywhere?

Your legend and daily log are saved locally on this device automatically. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
