TOOL № 039 / PRINTABLES / RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER — NOTHING UPLOADED

Quiz Maker

Build a multiple-choice, true/false, and short-answer quiz with point values, a printable answer key, and multiple shuffled versions to reduce copying.

About this quiz maker

Build a quiz from multiple-choice, true/false, and short-answer questions, each with its own point value, and generate a clean printable version alongside a separate, matching answer key. Point values are totaled automatically and shown at the top of each quiz, so students know exactly how many points are available before they start.

Shuffling only actually reduces copying if two students sitting next to each other have genuinely different papers — a single shuffled order handed to the whole class doesn't accomplish that on its own. This is why "number of shuffled versions" generates several independently shuffled copies at once (up to four), each with its own correctly matching answer key, rather than a single fixed sheet. Shuffling question order and shuffling multiple-choice answer order are separate, independent options, so you can mix and match however makes sense for your class.

Because every version's answer key is built from that specific version's shuffled arrangement, "the answer is C" always means the actual C in that particular printout, not a fixed letter that happens to be wrong for half the versions — each key is generated directly from its own version, not copied from a master key.

This tool is intentionally scoped to the most common classroom quiz format — multiple-choice, true/false, and short answer, on paper — rather than a full digital, self-grading quiz platform.

Questions of different types can be freely mixed within the same quiz — a short vocabulary quiz might be all multiple-choice, while a review quiz mixes a couple of true/false questions with a short-answer question at the end, and the point totals and shuffling both work the same way regardless of which types you combine.

Nothing you type is uploaded anywhere; every version and its answer key are generated entirely in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Does shuffling really stop students from copying?

A single shuffle doesn't, since everyone would still have the same order. Generating 2 or more versions and handing them out so neighboring students get different versions is what actually helps.

Can I set different point values for different questions?

Yes, each question has its own point value, and the total possible score is calculated automatically and shown at the top of the quiz.

Is each version's answer key actually correct for that version?

Yes. Each version's answer key is generated directly from that version's own shuffled question and answer order, not copied from a single master key, so it always matches exactly.

What question types are supported?

Multiple-choice, true/false, and short-answer. This covers the most common classroom quiz format; it isn't intended as a full digital or self-grading quiz platform.

Is my quiz content saved or uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is generated locally in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
