The suggested frequencies are rough starting points, not rules — pot size, light, season and your home's humidity all change how fast soil dries out. Adjust the number until it matches what your plant actually needs.

About this plant watering scheduler

Add each plant you're tracking with a name, a watering frequency in days, and the date it was last watered — quick-pick buttons fill in typical frequencies for common plant types (succulents, most houseplants, ferns, outdoor summer vegetables) if you'd rather not guess a number from scratch. Every plant then shows its own countdown: how many days until it's next due, or how many days overdue if watering has slipped.

The full list sorts itself automatically so whatever needs attention soonest sits at the top, with a moisture bar giving a rough visual sense of how far through the watering cycle each plant currently is. A quick summary at the top counts how many plants need water today and how many are already overdue, so a glance at the page is enough to know if anything needs doing right now.

Tap "Watered today" after watering a plant to reset its clock to today and push its next due date back out automatically — no need to calculate the new date yourself.

The suggested frequencies are rough starting points, not fixed rules: pot size, light levels, the season, and your home's humidity all change how quickly soil actually dries out. Adjust any plant's number until it matches what that plant genuinely needs rather than a generic guideline.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know what watering frequency to use?

Use the quick-pick buttons for a rough starting point based on plant type (succulent, houseplant, fern, outdoor vegetable), then adjust the number over time based on how your specific plant actually behaves in its pot, light, and home humidity.

What happens when I tap "Watered today"?

That plant's last-watered date resets to today, and its next due date is automatically recalculated from its watering frequency — no need to work out the new date yourself.

How is the plant list sorted?

By urgency — whatever needs water soonest (or is most overdue) sits at the top automatically, so you don't have to hunt for it.

What does the moisture bar actually measure?

It's a rough visual estimate of how far through the watering cycle a plant currently is, based on your set frequency — not an actual soil moisture reading, since this tool doesn't connect to any sensor.

Is my plant list saved or uploaded anywhere?

It's saved locally on this device automatically. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
